- Dump an acai packet of your choosing, a banana, 1 cup of water and 1/4 cup of granulated sugar into a blender. Blend until everything has mixed together.
- Pour the mixture into an empty Ninja Creami container. Put it in a freezer for 24 hours.
- After 24 hours, use the “sorbet” feature on your Ninja Creami.
- After the first spin, use a spoon to make a hole in the middle of the mixture. Then use the “Re-Spin” function.
- Scoop a portion of the Acai into a bowl. Add your toppings as desired.
Ninja Creami Acai Bowl Recipe Tips & Advice
- I’ve seen some people use blackberries to make the base of the acai bowl as well. If you want to use blackberries, you could do a 1/2 cup of blackberries and a 1/2 cup of a sliced banana, instead of just using a whole banana.
- I’ve made the mixture before waiting the full 24 hours many times. Generally, I’ve found that as long as you let it freeze overnight it’ll be fine. I’d still try to get it as close to 24 hours as possible, though I have made it after waiting 12 hours and have not experienced much of a difference.
- Peanut butter is my personal favorite topping but be careful. Adding too much can make this dish unhealthy in a hurry.
