Step-by-Step Marry Me Chicken Sliders Recipe
- Season chicken thighs with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Set aside.
- Dump flour into a bowl. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder and paprika to taste. Mix together until combined.
- Coat chicken in the seasoned flour. Ensure chicken is completely covered.
- Heat olive oil & butter on medium heat. Cook chicken until golden brown, or until internal temperature reaches 165. Set chicken aside.
- Add minced garlic and chicken broth to the pan you just cooked the chicken in. Stir and cook until fragrant.
- Lower heat. Add heavy cream and parmesan cheese. Stir regularly.
- Add pepper flakes and sun-dried tomatoes. Stirring regularly, cook until the sauce is thick. It should start with a watery consistency and get progressively thicker.
- Cut Hawaiian rolls into halves so you can build sliders. Cut chicken thighs into pieces small enough to fit in each roll. Drizzle sauce on top of each, but these are best when dunking each slider into the sauce before each bite!
My Experience With Marry Me Chicken
There are countless versions of this recipe that have gone viral over the last few years. The dish got its name because it’s so good that if you cook it for your boyfriend, he’ll become your fiancé. So just imagine what your boys will do for you when you show up with these Marry Me Chicken Sliders.
I’ll be honest, the Marry Me Chicken dip is not aesthetically pleasing. When I showed up to my friend’s Super Bowl party with this snack, I saw the nervous looks being exchanged. But the second people got a taste, everyone came back for seconds – and thirds.
