Banana Bread Baked Oats Ingredients

Portions are for 1 person.

  • 1/3 cup oat flour (oat flour is just oats you’ve blended)
  • 1 banana (sliced)
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Cinnamon (recommend 1 tsp, but depends how much cinnamon you want)

Additional Toppings Ideas for Baked Oats

I have toyed around with a few other versions of this recipe. The above version is my favorite, but here are some other ideas you can try:

  • Blueberries
  • Flaxseed or chia seeds
  • Honey (instead of the maple syrup)
  • Sea Salt

Banana Bread Baked Oats Recipe

  1. Dump all ingredients into an oven-safe bowl.
  2. Mix all ingredients together until everything has been distributed evenly throughout the bowl.
  3. Place in the oven. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes, or until it has a nice golden color.

My Experience With Baked Oats

Before discovering this banana bread baked oats recipe, I had two modes when it came to breakfast. I was either eating bacon, or I was not eating breakfast. This dish gave me a whole new respect for the most important meal of the day.

You can’t start every day with banana bread. You’d end up like the post-credits version of White Goodman. But you can start every day with the Coke Zero version of banana bread, since this dish only has about 360 calories.
